Pokémon Go will be available in July for iOS and Android

Pokémon Go, the augmented reality free-to-play mobile game from Niantic, will be available this July. Nintendo announced the release window during its second-day E3 live stream , but didn't give a concrete day. The company did say the game's accessory, a wrist-worn wearable called Pokémon Go Plus that lets you play the game without using your smartphone, will be available for $34.99. Unfortunately, it won't be quite ready at launch, Nintendo clarified. Pokémon Go is an ambitious AR title being developed by Niantic, the makers of Android game Ingress, in conjunction with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. In our first hands-on look at the game earlier this month , we saw exactly how the game incorporates the same real-world exploration elements of Ingress with a pokémon twist. The core gameplay will involve looking through your smartphone camera while the software integrates the digital creatures into the environment. On a deeper level, you'll be able to assume...

OnePlus 3 vs. Galaxy S7 Edge vs. LG G5: Which Smartphone Should You Buy?

OnePlus has just announced and released the OnePlus 3, a midrange handset that's built to punch above its weight class. And OnePlus thinks this phone is ready to compete with the best handsets in the market now. Shoppers looking for handsets that make few compromises may find more satisfaction in laying claim to one of Samsung's Galaxy S7 edge handsets or LG's modular G5 phones. All three phones are the standard bearers for their manufacturers, serving as flagships of innovation and engineering. But at $400 off contract, OnePlus' OnePlus 3 isn't exactly meant to go head to head with the likes of the G5 and Galaxy S7. The One Plus 3 is priced and spec'd to tear into its respective shares of the market from below, courting the consumers who could comfortably pickup a $700 G5 but are open to saving a few hundred dollars if it comes at the cost of features they care little about. Built by and for tech enthusiasts, "the OnePlus 3 competes wi...

'The Legend of Zelda' earns 'Breath' of new life

If you've ever played The Legend of Zelda,Nintendo's classic adventure series that first launched in 1986, then you know slashing at grass with hero Link's sword is a big deal. If it doesn't uncover a rupee -- Zelda's signature currency -- it turns up a heart filling your health meter. In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, players will have to work a little harder to stay alive. For starters, health is restored by eating food, some of which might require hunting animals and crafting recipes to later cook up. It's one of several big changes planned for The Legend of Zelda, which is expected to launch next year for both Nintendo's Wii U and the upcoming NX console. The franchise features Link, a young hero called to action to protect the land of Hyrule from mystical threats. In the case of Breath of the Wild, Link is shown waking up in a chamber, as a voice implores him to investigate a mysterious enemy. Breath of the Wild is a much ...

Flash Player zero-day exploit is being used in the wild by a cyberespionage group

Adobe Systems warned users Tuesday that an unpatched Flash Player vulnerability is being exploited in targeted attacks. The company expects to deliver a patch as soon as Thursday. The exploit was discovered by researchers from antivirus vendor Kaspersky Lab in attacks attributed to a cyberespionage group known in the security industry as ScarCruft. The group is relatively new, but is apparently quite resourceful, as this is possibly the second zero-day -- previously unknown and unpatched -- exploit that it used this year. The other exploit targeted a critical remote code execution vulnerability in Microsoft XML Core Services that was tracked as CVE-2016-0147 and was patched by Microsoft in April. ScarCruft has been exploiting the new Flash Player zero-day flaw, which Adobe tracks as CVE-2016-4171, as part of a cyberespionage campaign against high-profile victims that was launched in March. Kaspersky Lab has dubbed this campaign Operation Daybreak and has detected...

Apple presentó la aplicación Swift Playgrounds

Imagen
