Save Hundreds on Dell's Inspiron 3000 Quad-Core Desktop PC

If you're on the lookout for an affordable workhorse PC, check out the Inspiron 3000 desktop from Dell. Not only does it offer a powerful quad-core CPU and plenty of customizability, but it's also currently on sale for just $559 when you use coupon code "DELLDT559" in your shopping cart.

On the inside, it sports a fourth-generation quad-core 3.6GHz Intel Core i7 processor, integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600, 16GB of RAM, a 2TB 7200RPM hard drive, a tray-loading DVD burner, Bluetooth 4.0, and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi support.

A wired mouse and keyboard are included at no extra cost, so all you'll really need is a display. Thankfully, the Inspiron 3000 comes with an HDMI port and a VGA port, so you'll be able to plug into just about any existing PC monitor or HDTV. You'll need an adaptor for DVI or DisplayPort support, but you can find those on Monoprice or Amazon for $15 or less.

If you feel like expanding your PC down the road, this model has two PCIe x1 slots, a PCIe x16 slot, two DIMM slots, and four SATA connections. And thanks to the eight built-in USB ports, you won't even have to open the case to add more storage.

Since the Inspiron 3000 is so compact and versatile, it works well in nearly any situation. If you're in a cramped office setting, you can comfortably slide this under your desk to save space. Looking for a living room gaming solution? Install a nice graphics card, and then slip this behind the big screen. With just a little bit of effort, this PC can handle almost anything.

This configuration comes with Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) installed by default, and a license for Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit) is included to boot. And if you upgrade by July 29, Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) is free as well, so you'll have access to Microsoft's new Edge browser, the Cortana personal assistant, the dedicated Xbox app, and more than 200,000 apps in the Windows Store. Considering how positive the Windows 10 review is here at PCMag, this is definitely worth going through the upgrade process. For more great deals, check out TechBargains.com.
